Our Cricket Team

In the 1970's  and the 1980's Nirlon was known for it's very strong and successful cricket team. Anchored by the iconic and fiercely committed Sunil Gavaskar, the team included many long time and well respected members Indian Team including Ravi Shashtri, Sandeep Patil, Karsan Ghavri, Balwinder Sandhu and Sanajy Manjrekar.

After emerging from Bankruptcy in 2006, Nirlon once again committed itself to building a new cricket team. However, this time the focus was on selecting  young, dedicated and promising players from underprivileged backgrounds and giving them the opportunity to begin to play professionally. For more than a decade now, within a closely monitored budget, this new, young team has established itself as one  of the better ones in Mumbai's very competitive office cricket environment. The team has been run for the past few years by NMS.
